Working with their local authority Dialogue Youth partners in Angus, Perth & Kinross and Dundee City Council, Young Scot has created a programme jam packed full of activities including sports, music, fashion, film and shopping, making sure young Scots can use the day off to its full advantage to learn and have fun! WOW Day captures the spirit of Young Scot's

What's On Where website (www.youngscotwow.org), the national youth opportunities search engine, by giving young people aged 11 - 26 information to access opportunities and try out new things in their local area.

So if you live in or around Dundee why not head down to City Square and visit the Young Scot roadshow where Stuart Webster from Tay FM will be providing the backing track to your day. Fancy yourself as the next Ronaldo or Julie Fleeting? Then head over to the CashBack for Communities Street Football enclosure for a game or two.

In the evening the fashionistas can head to The Shore for a special one off fashion show, featuring the latest looks donated by Missy La La's, the stylish local boutique established by Young Scot Award Winner Kirsten Dunnet.

The evening is crowned by a special screening of Twilight at Cineworld chosen by young people on the Young Scot website. Tickets can be won through www.youngscot.org and a handful will be given away to Young Scot NEC card holders on the day. Enter quickly; it's sure to be popular!

Meanwhile in Perthshire you can get creative down at Stanley Mills. Historic Scotland is offering a special rate of just £4.50 on the day for their interactive visitor experience. Simply select the workshop that appeals to you and try your hand at handbag making or crafting your very own birdhouse and much, much more.

Helping you kick-start your New Year fitness regime Perth & Kinross Leisure is offering loads of free activities to Young Scot cardholders from free gym and dance classes. While SHOKK gym in Perth is offering free fitness, dance and boxing sessions.

Louise Macdonald, Chief Executive of Young Scot, says: "WOW Days are a great way for young people to try out something new that they might not have otherwise had the chance to experience. Young Scot's WoW website has thousands of opportunities posted nationwide, covering sport and the arts to volunteering and youth groups. This event really features some exclusive and fun activities, and Tayside young Scots will be able make the most of their long weekend!"

In addition to the amazing events local Young Scot discount partners will also be giving Young Scot NEC cardholders a range of money saving offers across Tayside. These include free Subway sandwiches when you buy a six-inch sub and a drink, 1/2 price Skirmish Paintball and 20% discount at USC.

CashBack for Communities funds a some of the free activities featured on Young Scot WOW, a programme which Minister for Public Health and Sport, Shona Robison, believes has made a positive impact throughout Scottish communities.

She said: "Children's health and well-being has always been a fundamental priority for the Scottish Government and with CashBack for Communities, thousands of children are now benefiting from a range of active and healthy activities.

"In many cases, in areas where facilities and opportunities may have been limited in the past, CashBack is giving children the opportunity to learn new skills and discover new hobbies which will undoubtedly help them lead a healthier life in the future."
